played violin with a band yesterday so fun ! they mic'd me up and added reverb. lucky to have found ppl who want to hear me. or lucky they found me! drum friend looked over at me after a song and said "I hope you don't move" (((confusing))) but (((sweet))) and the whole moment felt flooded with sincerity and goodwill

less interesting news - an unexpected HR meeting yesterday (manager is collecting info about something that other managers hid from her) then an unexpected manager meeting (to clarify with that manager that my HR meeting was not about the thing that she thought it was about) lol

oh oh also yesterday encountered the spirit of amethyst friend in the passport office then called him for the first time in many months, finding that it was the day of his paramedic exam and he passed! yeyuhhh

journaling here this morning because the only pen on me is not good for cursive - too inky / dull so it's better for all caps. and my thoughts are not in caps mode

the 80s music in the cafe is so distracting. manifesting that they start playing beach house and the sundays

carrying some irritation / frustration / disappointment about:

• cops...in a more immediate way than usual. cops called to my apartment for a noise complaint, I was playing the violin. cops hired at the library, 4 of them always patrolling. I barely do rounds anymore because a cop does an entire round of each floor 1-2 times an hour. they were hired so quickly and without justification - just announced in an email one day in October and now here we are, a whole department. the admin office feels like a precinct (when I say cops I mean ex cops who we created retirement jobs for lol)
• I had just begun to feel proficient at releasing work-related stress but this is less like hmm this thing stressed me out and more like hmm ummm what is happening to our library
• eh other stuff that I wish not to perseverate on
• A's deadly sin of pride
• my deadly sin of gluttony (of my own suffering)
